I can do it in 7 minutes, and I always get compliments on it.
1. I start with Merle Norman Cover Up. I use it on my eyelids as an eye-shadow base. Seriously, it is the greatest thing I have ever used as a primer, and it makes my shadow, eyeliner and highlighter last all day long without creasing.
2. I use it to cover any blemishes, or discoloration on my face as well. I don't like using foundation, so this works well for me, without feeling like I'm wearing a mask.
3. Next, I apply my Sephora Sparkle Collection eyeshadows. I use the light champagne color all over my eyelid. I apply the shimmery plum in the crease, and use the lightest as a highlighter on my browbone.
4. While the eyeshadow sets, I apply the Julep lip primer that I just started using. It hurts so good!! It makes my lips burn and tingle, and then I end up looking like I spent tons of money on lip injections. You want to let it set for a few minutes to take maximum plumping effect.
5. Using the Elizabeth Mott You're So Fine waterproof liquid eyeliner in 'Glitterati" I lightly line the top lashes, flicking it out at the corners for a subtle cat eye. If I'm feeling daring, I'll add a few more layers to make the cat eye thicker. The waterproof liner helps to keep it in place, and not smudge.
6. I finish my eye look with about 5 coats of Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara. If it's raining, or windy, I use Waterproof L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Black instead. I like waterproof in the winter because my eyes water in the wind, and I find this doesn't smudge or run.
7. Finally, I use my Julep lipsticks from the mini holiday trio in Beau and Heartbreaker. I use Heartbreaker to line, and Beau to fill.
